120 VAC Protection

I have a 3295RK with 50 amp. wiring. I am trying to figure out a way to internally wire an autotransformer/surge protector. The 50 amp. connector is mounted on the rear streetside corner of the Montana and the converter panel is mounted in the wall beside the door.
Where is the best place to access the wires for the installation?

Thanks,

Glenn
