Patrick AFB, FL, and Panama City, FL

We will be at the FAMCAMP at Patrick from 16 May to 3 June. Space #13. On 3 June we will head to Panama City Beach, Emerald Coast RV Resort, for a couple of weeks. Drop by for a beverage of choice.

Best Regards to All

So how is that AF campground, PJ & Nan? We've been generally pleased with the military campgrounds we've seen and look forward to staying in many more.

We'll be "residing" at the Eglin FamCamp during Hurricane season while our house is being built...didn't realize that there are two sections of their FamCamp...one by the water and one over by the BX/Commissary, which is really quite nice. We'll by the BX/Commissary. Another nice campground in that area is in Defuniak Springs (about 40 minutes from Eglin). It's called Sunset King RV Resort. Extremely clean, absolutely beautiful, reasonably priced, cable, and Wireless internet! It was great!

We had considered both Eglin and Defuniac Springs, but we have family requirements in Panama City and a christening in Port St. Joe. Re Patrick AFB FAMCAMP, it is very nice. Right on the Banana River. The main part of the Base is about a 10 min drive from the FAMCAMP. Also, the Atlantic Ocean beaches are 10 min away. Plenty of space this time of year. One of the other folks said that the weather was rainy and "cold" (a relative term, for sure)this past winter, so lots of folks went to the Keys, and didn't enjoy it there due to overcrowding. We are looking forward to our stay there..

Best,
