LAKE SISKIYOU CROCKPOT BREAKFAST RECIPE
Here is the recipe for the Crockpot breakfast casserole we made for Sunday that many of you asked for. Also, not all slow cookers will cook the same so it make take less time to cook than what the recipe calls for. When the casserole is done it should be bubbling around the sides and in the middle. The original recipe did not have the sausage but we added it and also sprayed the crock with PAM cooking spray before assembling everything.
Jack & Dave
Breakfast Everyone Crockpot Breakfast Casserole
Serves/Makes: 10
Ingredients:
32 ounces frozen hash browns
1 pound cooked ham cubed
1 pound bulk sausage cooked & crumbled
1 onion diced
1 green pepper diced
1 1/2 cup shredded cheese (you can mix several types)
12 eggs
1 cup skim milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
Spray the crock insert with non-stick cooking spray.
Divide potatoes, ham, sausage, veggies and cheese so you can create several layers of each in the slow cooker.
Start with the hash browns, then ham & sausage, onions peppers and last cheese. Repeat until you have several layers. Beat eggs, milk salt & pepper pour over layers in the slow cooker cover and turn on low.
Cook on LOW for 10-12 hours overnight.
