First Boondocking Trip

Hello everybody,
We took our first Boondocking trip this weekend in central Pennsylvania. The weather was beautiful and the food was delicious! We got together with several friends to exchange stories, eat too much, and enjoy the views. What a way to spend a weekend. Hoping to do this a lot more.

Looks like fun. How did your batteries work for you? How did you keep them charged?

I live in the country the nearest house is 200 yards so when I'm in a CG I feel like I'm in town. My favorite places to camp are miles from anybody. The Cowden Plantation in SC 4 miles from my friends home. When in Wyoming the Shirley Basin or on Union Pass we are at least 10 miles from the nearest house.

We have one battery in our 5er. With the refridgerator and hot water heater on propane, we had on three 12 volt lights and the water pump. The battery lasted about a day. Ran the generators, a Honda eu2001 and Companion for three hours to charge the battery. The last evening, we watched TV and ran the hot water heater and fridge on electric. The Hondas ran out of gas about 6 this moring. Hope this helps.

A friend of ours owns the property. Every year we all get together for a picnic and camping weekend. The property is located in central Pennsylvania. If you're interested in more information, let me know.
