brake adjustment

DH wants to know when adjusting the brakes on the slide side...do the slides have to be in when you jack the wheels up. He doesn't want to damage the slides. Thanks

Doesn't matter but it would be an easier access to the wheels if they were in.

The slideout is designed to be extracted when level. However since this is temporary (per side) and the jerking movements when jacking it up to adjust the brakes is kept to a minimum, this should be okay to do when the slide is extracted. Using blocks and bottle jacks at the frame should help as well.

Would he consider using the valves and retracting only the slideouts that are affected at the time during the brake adjustment process? This could speed up the brake adjustment process.
