AC Cleaning
Periodically, on my home AC, I pull the cover and clean things out. I looked at the AC on the roof of my Monty and I don't see anyway to take the cover off. It appears to be rivited together. Am I missing something? If I want to remove the cover, how would I do it? Thanks!

Are you referring to the outside plastic cover that sits on top of the roof unit? My cover has 4 screws (two in front, two in back, maybe there were four in the back, but I'm not gonna climb up there and look). I have removed these and cleaned before, but it wasn't too bad. The inside filter needed more cleaning
If you have rivets on the outside cover, does this mean the cover is a slide and lift style? Maybe you slide it forward or backward then up, or pull up and slide off. Maybe check underneath for a release and the cover hinges up and/or off.
What is the make and model of your A/C? Hopefully someone with the same model has done this.

Hmmm, guess I better take a closer look. When I was up cleaning the roof, before cleaning the outside, I noticed these silver disks on the side that I assumed were rivits. I'm heading out Friday on a trip so maybe I can check when I get to our destination. I am talking about the white cover on the roof unit. I thought it was a Dometic, but maybe I'm thinking of the refrigerator. Guess I should be better prepared with information before posting a question. Thanks!

I have a Dometic Duo-Therm and after looking closer, I see that those silver disks that I thought were rivits actually have a philips slot in them. Sorry for any inconvenience.
