We made it!

Well we pulled in today to our winter gig at Boyce Thompson Arboretum near Superior, AZ. Weather is nice and the place is spectacular. The view out the front door is unbelievable. Joyce and I and three other couples in one of the largest gated communities in AZ. Once the guests go home, we're the only ones on the 700 acres.

My guess is they probably do like handy folks. Like most older parks, however, there may be room for only one Monty here and I had to display some remarkable backing skills to get parked(not sure where they came from). We'll be looking around and getting orientated today. It got dark soon after I could get parked yesterday. Once we've had a chance to see what's up and I have some time to do it, I'll put a photobucket spread together. Noticed last night there was a huge covey of quail under the cactus about 20' in front of the rig. Opened the window to look at the cliff and the quail first thing this morning and a hummingbird flew right up in my face and looked in. We're loving this place already.

Since this is also a state park, my guess would be that they'd frown on that.

Hey Dick, do they still have a little shack in the middle of the entry road. I was pulling a car trailer back from Phoenix and pulled in there, just about tore that little that little shack down, missed it by a couple of inches. That place is a priceless piece of desert. I know you will love it. Lots of new painting opportunities.

Yes the little house is still there, but that's just the opening test. Due to stakes in the ground for a new parking lot I ended up making a U turn backing up then pulled forward and had to S turn the rig backwards into a space about the size of the clearance next to the little house. The spots were built when TT's were all there was and they weren't that big. Great views and a great gig however and I don't have to get it out of here until May 1.
