Anyone coming Thru Billings? Sure could use your

I am needing help getting our Big Sky moved from the KOA in Billings down the road a couple of blocks to Yellowstone RV Park...

Bill had to have open heart surgery and can't do this. We will have to stay here for a few months and need to get to a full hook up site.. KOA can't get us a fhu until mid August and they won't give ua any kind of long term rate.. Their price is $61.00 per day.

If anyone is coming thru Billings by the 1st and can help, please call me at 7632187111...Thanks

Helen

Wish we were closer, is there someone at the other park that could help you get moved over there, just a thought

Helen, I wish we could be there to help, but it will be a couple of weeks before we come through on our way to Escapade. We're still in Alaska and have to go through a big chunk of Canada before reaching Montana. Sending HUGS and hopes for nearby help!

P.S. I once asked a stranger parked next to me to move my Montana from one park to another because my truck was getting an engine replacement. They were really nice people and happy to help a woman alone.

I still think RVers are the most considerate and helpful people on the planet. I love reading when people in need can get help like this and in a little over 90 minutes! It helps remind us that not everyone is like most of the whackjobs on the news.

Sure, you can include doctors, nurses, and other service personnel but RVers work for free and with little fanfare. Doug, a big thank you to offer your brother to help out Bill and Helen. Please let your brother know the MOC (especially me and the others who posted here) are very grateful. I'm astounded and pleased how quickly this was taken care of. Get well Bill!

Good luck and our best wishes and prayers are with you Bill & Helen. I went through the experience in Feb. 2007 while in Destin Florida. Keep looking ahead, always think positively and do all that the doctors and therapists say. The follow up therapy and exercise really got me back to normal faster and I felt better. Regained my strength and stamina a little quicker as well.

Thanks so much for all the kindness shown... I can't believe the people that have offered help.. Steve Reigel even offered to drive 1000 miles to help... I talked to Dougs brother and he is all set to help me move on Sunday.. RV'ers are the very best..

Helen, you and Bill are still in our prayers. What a bump in the road for you guys, but reading all the comments and the offers of help in one way or another from fellow MOCers must make you feel better, knowing people are concerned about you both. Please tell Bill we wish him a speedy, uneventful recovery.

And Doug, what a terrific offer via your brother in Billings.

You both are in my continued thoughts and prayers. Helen, I'll be in the Black Hills this Thursday through the following Thursday. Should also be heading through Montana mid September. I know Doug's brother has you taken care of now, but do not hesitate to call me if you need anything over the next few months. You are a short drive from the hills and the Twin Cities - say the word and I'm on the way.

It's really heartwarming to see the troops gathering when someone is in need.
