New 2014 unit, refrigerator loud!
Anyone notice how loud the new refrigerators are? Have the the electric/ propane style two door and I hear it running all the time. Once our a/c kicks on it does drown it out.

The exhaust fan in our norcold 12 cu ft 4 door only runs off and on occasionally. Yes, you can hear it when it is on, but it isn't all that load or noticable. You should be able to compare its noise level with another unit to see if yours isn't normal. John

We have the two door Domestic in our new rig and certainly the circulating fan has more of a growl to it. It's like any other regular noise it eventually becomes the norm. Just so long as it keeps working otherwise that can be really annoying.

We have also noticed the fan in the new Montana (Dometic) is louder than the Norcord in our old unit. Very quiet until that fan kicks in. Makes us feel better to hear we are not the only ones to notice.

We have the large 4 door Norcold in our 2013 and I have never heard it running. Much colder than the Dometic we had in our SOB. Hope the Norcold holds up better than our Dometic did.

Yep we have the new two door Domestic and the fans are a little annoying but it seems like it is more efficient since in we had a Norcold in our last unit and it did not have fans. When I installed the fire extinguisher in the frig compartment I noticed 4 small fans and the top which do draw and the lot of heat off the coils.

Well if the Norcold doesn't have a circulating fan I guess It would quieter. Dometic/Norcold it's a crap shoot but we are hoping that bank of 4 cooling fans at the top of the compartment are an real airflow improvement.

I agree....rv frigs are what they are but offer flexibility. The addition of the fans was probably due the incidents of fire from overheating over the years. I still put the fire extinguisher in just in case.

Our 2012 - 3402Rl has a Norcold 1210 fridge, it is the two door model and I have never heard the fans from inside the unit.
Mine has two fans in the upper compartment area and they are controlled by a thermal switch on the cooling fins. You can hear them running when you are outside next to the fridge as you can hear the propane burner when running on propane. There is little or no noticeable noise inside the trailer.
I don't know if they have gone to a 4 fan system but any fan can be noisier if it not mounted properly. Our fans run on a really hot day particularly if that side is on the predominately sunny side. The fridge works much more efficiently when the hot air can be drawn away from the cooling fins.
Since you are still on warranty I would let them deal with it, here are pics of my fans and the thermal switch.
