Leaving MN for Wisconsin Dells area

Tomorrow we leave the Twin Cities area for the Wisconsin Dells. We are traveling down 61 along the Mississippi River and will be spending the night at Winona on the river. Then on to the Dells for a few, before heading into Michigan's UP on the way home to SE Michigan. This has been a great trip! We saw all we had set out to see and then some and met up with some great MOCers along the way. To you who we have met, thank you so much for your friendship and assistance with our need for tour guides throughout this journey. You have made a very good trip into a great journey! For this we are grateful. Around every corner and behind every tree we seem to find something very interesting or different. We can't wait to see what the Mississippi River brings us tomorrow and the Dells after that!

If you are in the Winona area, be sure to go to where they load the barges in Winona - this is the time of year they are loading corn and will continue through the summer and fall. It is interesting to see the barges up close. If you have never watched barges go through the locks that is also very interesting.

Jim, we are still in Boston and will not head back that way till the end of next week but if you are heading up to the U P via US 45 then there are two nick CGs right in that area. One is on the north side of Eagle River, this would be Hi Pines RV park and Campground. The second is just south of Land O Lakes and is called Borderline RV Park. That is within 2 miles of our house. We will be home before the 1st of July. If you are going to the GLakes Rally we will see you there... Dave
