At the site ADSL is less expensive at the park where we winter (I have the modem) or we tap (yah, yah, I know) into an unprotected network so ...

No that makes perfect sense. We went with Millenicom because we didn't like the price and wanted to use more bandwidth than Verizon was going to allow. With the Millenicom plan we are still on Verizon and while we are restricted to 3g we spend the summer and the winter at locations where we are luck we can get 3g and may never have 4g.
