Sanitize Fresh Water Tank
Our first trip this year is to a state park with no water. I have never used the on board water tank since new. I do not plan on towing our Montanna prior to this trip. What would you suggest I do to sanitize the fresh water tank?

Page 48 of the Owner's Manual. 1/4 cup of bleach per 15 gallons. Fresh water tank is 66 gallons. Run faucets til you smell the bleach, then let it set for 4 hours. Drain system and flush with fresh water until you chlorine odor smell is gone.

Maybe I'm wrong but would not the water in the water heater and the water heater need to be treated also?

I always drain the tank, bypass it and clean the system. I have never had a problem with the tank. You can fill the tank if you want to,but it is just easier to flush the lines without going thru the tank.According to his post they have used the hw tank hooked up to city water but has not used the onboard tank before.
