Check your roof? - Good idea

Was up on the roof to see if I needed to sweep anything off the slides before closing. Noticed lots of loose dust all over roof so just started sweeping the whole thing. That is when I noticed a very small (less than 1") V shaped tear just in front of one of the forward vents. Appears a small sharp tree branch caught it just enough to make a very small tear. Apparently done last July when I carelessly backed under a small tree limb I did not see. Did not get to use it much after that trip, so not exposed to any significant rain.

So, how to best repair? Eternabond (or similar) tape? Caulk? Sealant?

I have a hunch you already know the answer....Eternabond is a permanent fix but make sure the area that you apply it is cleaned according to the directions. Dicor lap sealant will work, but if it were my rig, it would be repaired with eternabond.

You may find Eternabond at WalMart. Ours WalMart carries 2'x4' rolls.

I have a bigger tear fro my tree incident. Eternabond is the way to go. I believe it is stronger and thicker than the regular roof.

I buy all my Eternabond tape here. It's the most reasonably priced that I can find. Quick shipment. Carry an extra roll with me all the time.
