Lead time on Winter reservations in AZ

Some of you will find this a bit funny since we don't get out 3400RL until May 19th, but us ANAL people have to plan for all contingencies! :-)

Our plan is to spend at least January through March in Tuscon, Phoenix, maybe Yuma Arizona areas or the Palm Springs, CA area. We have no idea where we are going to stay yet. But have begun doing research. The question is how long in advance does one need to make reservations and deposits in order to get what may be the more desireable locations?

Any members who would like to provide suggestions as to where to stay in these areas would also be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

The farther ahead you plan and reserve, the better your chances of getting a prime site for the winter. Many of our members spend their winters in Yuma, Az. or the Rio Grande Vally, Tx. I am sure many of the experienced snow birds will be along soon to give their first hand experience.

Before the new year, you can get a spot almost anywhere in the Southwest but after that it is a good idea to reserve if you are looking for long term rates. There are lots and lots of RV Parks in all of the areas you mentioned and it isn't a problem finding a nice one.
