Slides Extending When Moving

Montana 3610RL 2016
On our last trip the main suite slides started coming out on their own. We had to ratchet strap them together inside to keep them from coming out. I also turned the control valves OFF. I have it in the shop and they cannot find anything wrong. I'm thinking there is either a check valve or solenoid which has failed.
I appreciate any ideas.

My slides also started to creep when traveling. Main slide and then bedroom slide. Hydraulics by Dewald, which is now part of Lippert.

Sent pump to hydraulic shop, they determined that an internal check valve was leaking. No parts available! Installed additional in line valves hoping that that would work. Still creeped

I ended up drilling holes through the front and back support tubes, and inserting clevis pins to hold slide closed. To deploy slide, first I run the pump "IN" to take up slack, then remove clevis pin and extend.

Time to find a different shop. There have been many Topics here re slide creep. A recent one showed a Lippert PDF on diagnosing the problem.

Here is one example. http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ht=slide+creep Post #12 has references to Lippert LIP Sheets. Unfortunately LCI appears to have chnaged their website (again) and the links don't work. But you should be able to find the PDFs if you have the "My LCI" app.

Also call Lippert. Thay are very helpful.

My almost new at the time Mountaineer had 2 slides creeping out on the way to Goshen rally in 2014. Got it in to Lippert as we were leaving and they said it is usually the big (long) cylinders and didn't even test them that I could tell. They just put in new ones while I waited 5 hours.

Had a little more creep on the way home (air in the lines), but dealer just ran them in and out about 10 times to purge the air and no more problems.
Mine was under warranty so don't know the cost if I had to pay.

Only 3 items will cause your two hydraulic slides to creep out...
.. one of the slide hydraulic cylinders is leaking internally
.. your have a line or cylinder leaking up under color plast
.. the ONE hydraulic solenoid valve is not fully closing

The system is self bleeding so you need to look at 3 items above

There is a Lippert TI on how to perform cylinder leak test .. ver6 easy to do

Strapping the slides together may cause other issues to the slides because system is under about 2500 lbs hydraulic pressure
