Painting Front Basement White

The front basement is factory black inside; hard to see around in there. We do not have a generator. I am thinking to paint the interior with white paint; at least the ceiling & left and back walls, leaving the rest black. Adding a light would help, maybe one of those LED puck lights? Appreciate any input. Thx

I am not into painting this area, but have thought about adding a light. Will not be difficult to do since the batteries, breakers and cables are easy to access. Not familiar with what a puck light is, if the $6 Harbor Freight unit with battery contained, that would work well.

Surprised that Keystone don't install a light, lots of things could go wrong in this area, not just electrical, hydraulic as well. Being out of the way, we use it for a container for the sewer hoses and connectors.

When painting I would make sure to not paint over any electrical grounds. If you do, make sure the reground the wires. I would think any good quality paint for metal will do.

If the weather ever stays decent long enough, I have a surplus S&B 120VAC LED fixture to install along with a spare 12VDC pancake LED over the battery and disc brake actuator. I got caught yesterday working with the basement totally emptiehd onto the driveway, bulkhead out by one of those springtime gully wasers complete with small hail. Amazing how fast you can refill that area with some wet incentive.
