Phoenix Spring Training

Any one got any good suggestions for CG's in the Phoenix, Mesa, Goodyear area. We like the Reds (Goodyear) and the Flubs (Mesa). Thanks.

If you'd like to do some camping too, you might want to look at the Lost Dutchman State Park. Other than that you'll find some openings in Mesa but most of the spots are pretty close together.

We were in Buckeye and had to leave by March 1st due to car racing and baseball training. No open sites. I think I would take what I could get???

We were at Leaf Verde, by the way, side by side parking, but, they run a nice clean campground, strictly enforcing the rules, but, do not hang all over you spy like. There are cow farms about a mile away, but, don't believe what you read about those funky sewer vents, they do not stink.

I did blog about the campground, if you want to read it, with some photos. Pay attention to the 2 photos about the veterans benefits there.

Call ahead and good luck. Enjoy the games!

We stayed in Mesa for one spring training season. Close for the Cubs games but others were a fair drive West. (Get your Cubs tickets early. What a following) We stayed at SunFlower RV Resort in Surprise the next time. Closer to stadiums in Surprise, Peoria, Goodyear, and Glendale. Really enjoyed this resort. Nice people and lots to do. just do a google search and see what's there. http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...+phoenix%2c+az

we stay at royal palms up on dunlap and 19th ave. area. it is a mobile home park with about 60 rv sites. friendly staff, has a heated pool and hot tub and book room. right by walking/biking trails. ideal location for us.
