Under Bed Storage

Our new 2012 3100RL doesn't have as much space under the bed as our 2005 did. What is under the plywood under the bed besides the hydraulics? Can the space be used? Has anyone done this? Ken

Can't see anything wrong with the storage under our bed...plenty of room for the extra pair of socks.

I took the plywood out and cut it in half widthwise. Then I put a piano hinge on it. The palm trees and crap goes under there.

I built plywood boxes that look very similar to snexpress's metal ones. I attached them to the plywood already under the bed, so they move with the slideout. It didn't add much space, but would be useful for small items. Sorry, I don't have pictures.
