I have to agree that the hemi is not designed for heavy towing. It's a quick engine but not designed for heavy towing. We towed our 2003 3295RK at 14,360 lbs up and over Vail Pass and through the Eisenhower Tunnel at over 11,000 feet on I-70 in Colorado with our 1999 Ford F350 V10. We were down to 32 mph at the apex and were being passed by the diesels but it got us up and over and did so without excessive temperatures. The cooling fan was running constantly the last few miles but the gauge remained in the upper half of the normal range, never getting into the hot range.
