Firestone Air Bags

I See some of you have the air bags installed. Do they help out a lot?

I got air bays right after our first trip and they are great. The GMC had a tendency to rock and roll a little when we would get on bad highways and the bags took all of the rock and roll out. I run 30#'s in them when I'm pulling the 5ther and when I'm not I run 12#'s in them. Thay also took care of the squat which was a result of the 5ther hitch weight and Linda's great packing skills. Hope this helps.

Yes I would suggest adding air bags when you can. The ride will be much smoother. Happy rving.....

I don't notice much change, if I could get my money back by removeing them I would. They dont't do any harm except you remove the bump stops but I don't notice much help. If you load heavy or have an older truck with weak springs they might make a diferance, or maybe add air bags and remove a spring leaf.

We had them on a prior truck and it really leveled out the truck when towing. We had the onboard compressor with dash gauge and switches so could fine tune the pressure when needed while driving. We don't need them on this truck but if we ever do I'd not hesitate to install them again.

I had the rocking and rolling, Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks solved the problem.
