How do you orient the rockers?

We have tried several combinations including facing in/out both facing street(so the handles don't rub the rear wall. I tighten the straps until I'm afraid they will cut the arms. No matter how we do it the chairs always seem to move to the back wall. Any suggestions?

We turn them back to back about 6 to 10" from rear wall and I pull them up tight against each other. Kinda lift each so the backs are high and tight. Sorta like when you lean forward in the chair and tip it when you get out. That seems to put enough pressure on them that they can't rock and they do not move at all. I do not strap them down.

So far they stay put and we have been on some pretty rough roads.

I also run mine back to back as I travel down the road. I do strap them down tight but not to tight as I do not want the straps breaking something. Have left the end table between them now for almost two years without any trouble. Just make sure they are far enough away from the back wall that they will not tear the curtains or fabric on the chairs as "things do shift during flight". Have not had either one move yet, also I leave the computer desk chair standing at the desk during travel and it to has never moved.

We didn't strap ours down. We switched the sofa and chairs but nothing moved. We put the chairs back to back. No straps on anything and all was well.
Happy trails.................

Like Sue and Ed (Parrothead) we switched our sofa and chairs and don't even put them back to back. Stuff the sofa cushions behind the chairs and they don't move. No straps.

We turn ours face to face. Because we have the 2980 with the L-shaped kitchen, I've turned our dining table 90 degrees so we can get past it without opening the slide, so we can keep only 2 chairs with the dinette. The other 2 chairs go are upside down on the recliners with cushions between the backs. I use the straps to hold down the recliners and dining chairs, then have a long strap that goes all the way around the backs of the 2 recliners to keep them pulled together. Seems to work well.

We turn our back to back and then take a pillow and but that in between them. Also I put pillows in the front of each one. (I had one of the chairs pop open during travel) I also use a small pillow on the side handle of the chair, so it doesnt hit the wall.

Very close to Campbud's procedure. Back to back with pillow between at the top. We strap the chair backs together. This is the way our delivering dealer showed us from the beginning. I've started putting a spacer between the chairs and the back wall. There is a clear tendency for the chairs to slip up against this back wall and can do damage to the window shade anchors and/or to the chair fabric.

Likewise, we keep them away from the rear wall, place them back to back and use the straps. We also put pillows in front of each rocker and the walls to reduce movement.

When you say you switched sofa with chairs do you mean you put the chairs in the slide out were sofa was and sofa were chairs were on back wall?

I believe thats what he means because he gave me the idea to do it. It works great in a 3670 because both chairs can see the Television. I never thought the couch was that comfortable to sit on. Its great for afternoon cat naps tho.
