Changing Pin Box

Just pickup our 2016 Montana High Country 305RL. We love the layout
but I don't like the short pin box. This is our 2nd Montana. We had
3150RL which had a medium pin box. That was nice since it gave me more
room between the truck and the trailer. Would like to put the same pin box on the new trailer. Don't know if it would void the warranty.

First call Lippert and see about their frame warranty with your proposed alternate pin box.
Second check the bolt pattern as all pin boxes are not interchangable.

I would check if a longer pin box can be purchased from the dealer as a option and if it can I think the warranty would be OK.

I'd still check with Lippert ... they get funny about warranty coverage sometimes. It's just a phone call. You can buy pin boxes from online supply houses (PPL Motorhomes or ETrailer for example) way cheaper than thru a dealer. Measure ground to bottom of pinbox before your swap ... make the new one near the same and you won't be doing it twice.
