I installed the new lock cylinders on my front and back doors. Very easy and quick. The great thing is now I have one less key. Both my doors are now keyed the same. Before I had 2 different keys. One for the front door and one for the back. Now one key for both doors.
Plus I replaced all the 1/4 turn CH-751 locks and non locking latches on my outside storage compartments with tubular (round Key) locks. So now all my compartment, including my propane storage, have 2 locks on them instead of one lock and one latch or no lock at all.

DmaxDually - Where did you purchase your tubular locks from? This is a mod I would like to do also.
I wouldn't do the propane doors as we have to travel on ferries and they require access to the tanks in case of fire I have been told.

I purchased 10 of the 1-1/8 locks and 10 cam lock dust covers to cover the lock cylinders. I had them all keyed the same and non key retaining meaning that I can remove the key when it is unlocked. You can just replace one latch on the propane door with a lock and leave the other latch so you can leave it unlocked but latched when needed. Here's where I bought them from:

http://www.padlocks4less.com/1-1-8-t...-lock-712.html

Here's the dust covers:

I got these replacement locks in the mail yesterday. I had honestly forgotten about them. Ordered them under the recall last September! I guess they must have gotten behind a little bit.

I also got mine after a long wait. I about gave up on them.

Thanks for re-posting this. We bought our new to us 2012 Montana late Sept 14 and didn't know about this recall. Our key has the number on the recall list. Going to go by storage tomorrow to check the lock to see if I can pull the key out in the 9:00 position.
thanks
Steved

I forgot about them, too. Then about a month ago I remembered and figured something got screwed up, so I went back on-line, filled the info out again and submitted. A couple weeks later my new locks came. Then last week a second set arrived. How about that?

Steve, I still have never really checked mine to see if it was actually defective. Once I knew it was on the recall list I just figured that was good enough for me and I went on-line and ordered.
Now I just hope it is as easy to replace as the directions seem to indicate.

Hey...thanks for the info. Mine are being replaced too. They said it is new cylinders and keys - not the whole lock.

That's true. I thought it was the whole shootin' match, but just the internal parts with keys.

Sambam, I guess I thought a whole assembly was being sent also when I originally placed the order under the recall. I remember they wanted to know if my handle was black or not.

The change out was quick and easy. Of course now I am back down to just 2 keys for my entry locks.

I am wintering in Florida and the guy next to me has a 2013 Big Sky that all of a sudden had his door lock quit working. (3 weeks ago) I had read this site and told him about it. He called the number and spoke with the lady and match the recall numbers. Said they would send him a new one in 7 to 10 working days. Yesterday had not received it. Called back, number not working, no longer active. Called Keystone, taked with someone he said named Mark and he new of no recalls on their doors or anything posted on a the MOC website. Said if he needed a new lock he would have to go to the nearest Keystone dealer to order one, real customer service as usual from Keystone. He called the local CW dealer here and ordered one. $50. later and next call was to the dealer he spoke with at the RV show we went to on the previous Wednesday. Buying a SOB as he has had it with Keystone. 5 other none fixed issues on his 13 Big Sky with very little customer service. In our park there are 11 Montys for sale. ???? Must be something happening. He has also roof and tank issues on his 13 BS so must be a ongoing problem. You would think Keystone would know about a door lock recall. I know it sure made him mad, My lock thank goodness is working, holding my breath. Don't know what he is buying but will find out shortly I guess.

We just ordered our replacement locks and are looking at the padlocks for less site to replace all the storage compartment locks. Thanks for passing along this great info. Appreciate the heads up about the propane tanks as we use the ferry system in the San Juans and beyond. While we haven't posted much, we do appreciate the information the members have shared. We continue to learn from this great group of people and look forward to getting back on the road. Have a ton of things to do, and all we want to do is get packed up and go!

Ours was on the list! Thanks for the info and link. We bought ours used so we didn't get the recall notice.

Just finished switching mine out. Quick and easy process. However, don't hold your breath waiting for the new locks. Mine took several months to finally show up.
Safe travels.
