Truck feature I now can't live without

I've had vehicles with backup cameras built into the dash for as long as they've had them, but my 2014 Ram 3500 had a new twist. The graphic lines superimposed on the screen to show you your backup target for side to side and distance from bumper are not fixed as with my other cars. The Ram moves those lines to show where your current angle of the front wheels will take you. This is very helpful for my serpentine driveway that I always back into. I've checked the accuracy of these moving lines against the blind spot mirrors and it is perfect. If I'm not towing I depend exclusively on this new feature.

I like the new backup camera on the 14s. It is in the high mount center stop lamp and shows the bed/hitch/trailer.

Mine doesn't work because the rock tamers set it off.

I didn't get that camera, just the one that shows the bumper and the immediate rear path. Now I wished I had gotten both of them.

Call me old fashioned but I still use my mirrors more than the camera. The camera comes into use when I'm getting close to stopping so I don't hit what is behind me.

Absolutely love my backup cam. Wouldn't have a big truck without it now.

I use the camera and sensors along with mirrors. But ventilated seats are a
must in my book! That and the tailgate heater!....

Speaking of Old Fashioned:

It is now politically incorrect to "tell" anyone to do something "the old fashioned way". To not offend the oft found, easily offendable, it is now required to "ask" them to perhaps attempt it by using the "time honored, traditional method" ....if they "feel like doing so", ...please.

I'm with Jim and proud to be "old fashioned". I'd have to be retrained! After 35 years of backing wreckers with whatever attached, I absolutely am addicted to mirrors. My brain at my age is to trained to the mirrors. But then I've never used a camera, so, who knows? That last sentence is for the politically correct folks! LOL!!!

Well I went out this morning and backed in later using only the mirrors, and damned if I can't do it just fine, so now I have dual redundant methods for seeing while backing up. So this dog can learn new tricks HA HA..

My son has a 2013 fusion and his moves like that also. It is a neat feature. They might have done that only one year, our 2014 taurus the lines don't move, our my 2012 f250. I do like that.
