Help Tv Wont Go Up or Down

We are heading South soon and discovered our flat screen tv wont go up or down. When I push the remote, it just makes a clicking sound, but wont move. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

Never had that happen, but when ours is in the up position there is a cotter pin that seems to hold the nut that rides the turning worm gear and is actually what raises and lowers the mechanism. Whatever that cotter pin locks in place could be your problem. Hopefully someone has worked on these because if it's that what it is, or if it's the motor, I can't figure out a good way to get at them. Good luck and keep us informed!

Thanks Dick, Its working now. It seemed that the motor was stuck and woouldn't budge, so I rocked the Tv back and forth side to side , while pushing the down button on the remotte. It broke loose and started downward and now it works fine up and down. Yippee

It happened to ours at first. The dealer got us a new hand unit and matching receive sensor unit. Apparently they had a bit of trouble with the receive part.

Good fix to know, glad that worked out for you. We love that feature in our 3455!

Thanks for the info, if it happens to us I'll know what to try first before I start tearing stuff apart.
