Dim Sung

I can delete this from my 'Bucket List', would not do it again, I don't speak Chinese, can't hear what they are saying,(Sue couldn't either..) and don't like squirmy crawly fish food, the chicken feet about made me get up and leave.
Most all of it was cold, and the bill was $36.00.
Going back to my Chicken Pot Pie..

Old Chinese proverb.

"He who order Dim Sung, may be Dim Wit."

Just made that up. I know you are witty, but not dim. According to you, you are the brightest star in the sky, right?

Edited: I need to put this post in perspective, so here.

All sentences in jest.

Ozz, old buddy, you are a brave dude. That looks like a pretty neat place, but they'd have to pay me a whole lot more than 36 bucks to eat that stuff.

Now that's funny. Possibly true, but still funny.

Dudes, it's pronounced "Dim Sum". I would never try something called "Dim Sung".

I have done this before and believe me, it's much better to do this with "natives" you trust. When I worked, many of the fellow employees were of the Asian culture. They trusted me when we went Mexican and I trusted them when we did Asian of all kinds. The Dim Sum they got for us (we ate it family style) was great! There were definitely some things on the list, they told me to stay away from - the chicken legs were on it.

I'm not sure I'd call Ozz brave for going in there without help but I think Waynem covered it pretty well, but I'll be nice. When in doubt, eat pizza (and not in an Asian restaurant) otherwise go with the proper escort.

Thanks Art. I just figured it out.

Jim, look at the computer key board. The "D" is just next to the "S."

Are you sure you didn't have "Dim Dung?" (hee hee, ha ha, lol)

The place Ozz went to must have been serving "Damn Dung"... I promise you there's good parts about it if you take someone in the know, but it has to be "Dim Sum".

Warning, the brightest star in the sky might be from an explosion.

I like dim lights but not dim sum. But it sounds like the lights should have been dim so you didnt have to look at that damn dim sum.

As Terry Bradshaw would say, "that stuff looks like fish bait, and I don't eat fish bait."

Maybe there's a perfectly logical explanation as to "why you didn't see any cats" Ozz!

I agree on having a highly knowledgeable guide in such uncharted waters. Some places screw up even the standard fare.
