Das Apollo Kapooten

Yah sure, I fried the Apollo the other day. Was having elec problems and unplugged my EMS and plugged shore cable directly to the park pedestal and BLUEY. Too mucho elec I think, or at least too much at one time. I forgot to turn everything off when I plugged in and the Microwave and bedroom TV won't come on anymore, They died a silent death. Have new microwave enroute from Midwest Sales and we never used the BR TV anyway, so we will wait to replace it when we become bedridden. Life on the road for sure!!!!!

Was the campground electric bad? Just curious if the EMS had been sheltering you from bad power.

What kind of codes where you getting from the EMS prior to removing it from the circuit? How is your converter functioning? I had an electrical event that took out the microwave, entertainment center and bedroom TV along with the converter. It happened at the Branson Rally last year before I purchased the EMS.

That EMT should have shut you down and stored a code if there was a problem at the pedestal. Very strange. Mine has shut us down several times.
Be careful..something may be going on inside the coach??????

So far I'm assuming it did shut him down which was why he was bypassing it?

It has been shutting down almost every morning and coming back on after a minute or so. The code it is reading is P7 which is low frequency. The park manager says the CG power flickers about every morning but doesn't blow any breakers and no one else has complained about it. I guess the EMS is doing its job so I will continue to keep it plugged in. We leave here in two weeks and will check it at our next park.

As you all know, I am electrically challenged and do not know what "Low Frequency" means. Any advice is welcome....Converter seems to be working fine...

60 Cyles is varying. CG lights should be flickering when this happens.

low Cycles can result in high current causing things to burn up....

My guess is there have been other problems in the C.G...

Yeah, right! Pretty standard statement to avoid liability. Sorry to hear of your misfortune.

To defend the manager somewhat, I am on a military base, so not sure what the managers liability would be. Oh Well, not gonna let it get me down. The new microwave came in yesterday and it is already installed. Mighty quick service from Midwest Sales and Service. What's strange is that the Apollo company is right here in Florida but this oven came from South Bend, IN. They do the RV portion of the business, so I'm told. Will have to keep an eye on my electrical system and be sure I always use the EMS system, I think it really pays for itself.........Thanks to everyone for your replies,

Robbie, are you buying postcards and scanning them? LOL Jus ribbing you!!!! Sure are nice.....
