Installed 4 slide covers today...and yesterday

Not too bad of a job, my wife and I put them on, glad I had plenty of ladders. I read the install direcions, then did it my way.
Pretty good quality Dometic product, but the hardware went to the lowest bidder. The stainless screws were sub-standard, twisted the heads off on a few of them, not easy to do with phillips heads, the driver usually pops out before it puts that much torque on them. Just crappy screws. I really like the the covers on them.
No more climbing up to clear the slides. Now to figure out an auto wash for the solar panels....

Good looking intall! Those toppers are surely more sleek looking than what the factory put on our montana in mid 2012. And your pictures really show off your work. Thanks for the extra work to allow us to see it. John

Another class install! Continuing the tradition of your rig being a show piece.

Very nice Jim.

Was it hard to get the fabric into the slot?

John, it was surprisingly super easy it slid through with no resistance at all on all 4 of them
They must have soaked the stuff with silicone

How many inches do they stick out closed? I have a tight opening for my pole building. Looks very nice and I like the covers.
