Noisy stove fan on 2003

Our 2003 3280RL has a very noisy fan over the stove made by Jensen. Is this normal and are there any easy fixes?

We have an '02 and the stove fan is very noisy. Some folks have removed and installed a 'computer' type fan. I believe that some folks have installed a variable control switch that allows them to choose how fast the fan turns. This can make it much less noisy at slower speeds.

We just don't use ours very much so we've made no changes.

Good luck.

I had a 2003. If I remember right, the fan is not too difficult to access. The bearings in those little fans can become noisy. If it were my unit, I would replace it with a quieter fan. It is on the 12 volt circuit, so it is a simple two-wire connection.

On our 2006 3000rk the fan is also very noisy. Most of it is just the nature of the beast. Make sure the filter is ggod and clean. Any restriction through the filter increases the noise level. Aso insure the filter is firmly in it's weak little brackets. Any looseness adds to the vibration factor. Also insure the vent on the outside of the trailer is unobstructed. I forgot to open the outside vent a couple of times. (Just move the two plastic clips) Sure makes a difference.
