New carpet/Tile

Has anyone had the carpet replaced? what was it like. can a regular carpet installer do it?

That about tile also.
We want to put in Berber and replace some vinyl tile tore up by the slides. Any experience/ideas will be very helpful.

Tile is very heavy, don't believe I'd want to reduce my cargo carrying capacity by putting tile in the trailer.

We recently bought a 30 ft 2000 Montana. Carpet was really bad. We replaced it in the main slide and kitchen/living area using a 15 ft wide with nice felt padding. Not a super hard task. We used a berber which unravels very easily but can be stopped quickly with Shoe-goo. The piece that went on the slide got seamed at a local carpet place for a modest amount. We also replaced the flooring with a prego-type floor continuing it to the door. Previously the carpet went to the door (???!).
