Stainless not really?

Does anyone know why the 4 door fridges that are coming in the High Countrys are not stainless anymore and are now this horrible faux stainless? Or is it just a protective cover I could not seem to find an edge to peel it off it is. Thanks.

Many "stainless" fridges come with a finish over the metal skin. It tends to help avoid the splotchy look when they are a bit dirty from hand prints. Don't know which is more expensive, but you won't have to worry about a cooling unit failure. I'm assuming these are the residential units?

No it's the RV unit, not a big concern just seemed like a bad idea since it doesn't match any of the other appliances. If it doesn't have just a protective cover it would have been better IMHO to just leave it black. Thanks.

Our "stainless" fridge proudly holds the pictures of our grandkids.....on magnets !

3 series stainless like 303, 304, 316 are not magnetic. 4 series stainless like 416, 420, 440, are magnetic. 3 series will not rust, 4 series will rust.
