Another happy Big Sky Owner
We just got to Clyde, Ohio last evening and our 2008 Big Sky is nearly perfect. I was hoping it was a 2008 since the cutoff was about the time ours was built and it was.......much to our surprise. We love it so far and feel very fortunate to be able to travel in it. We even made the bed and slept in it last night. The new pillowtop mattress is great.
Town and Country dealership is great. We are still inspecting but are finding very little, and when we do find something our PDI technician, Mike, is right on it. I think we are going to be here a few days while some replacement parts need to arrive.
I have never gone through this before but I think the dealership is probably as important as the manufacturer. They had already gone through everything and tested it and pretty much ordered anything that needed to be replaced. It was sitting here all hooked up, air conditioning on, when we arrived.
It is prewired for a roof satellite dish and now we just have to get the satellite dish.
So you might say we are very happy campers. Thanks to all of you that helped us with this purchase.
We are off to Lake Erie this afternoon and have reservations in College Park, Maryland at the Cherry Hill Campground for Thursday evening. We may have to slide the date a day in order to get everything done here.

Congratulations! Eagerly waiting to see how the satellite prep works. Did they run 2 cables or 1?

Hey Karen - you sound as happy as we are - we absolutely love our Big Sky. Congratulations and good luck to you.
We just returned from a two week trip to PA and NY - loved every moment. Have a few small warranty things our dealer will fix this week.
Enjoy Washington DC - that's our neighborhood.

This is a good day for both of you. Your unit,by the way, was the first one off the line with the full Sat prep as we were told some time ago.It would be hard to beat the service at Town& Country RV. We had the same experience and our 3400 left the lot with Zero defects.Theye even cleaned and dusted..

How exciting, Karen. I'm glad it is turning out so well for you. Now just hope ours does the same, LOL. It was supposed to be off-line yesterday, but haven't heard anything yet. Let us know the final outcome and how you like Cherry Hill. Thanks, Sue C

Karen and John, we're so glad that you have your hands on that new Big Sky. It sounds like everything has worked out for the best for you. It was fun to meet you folks and help you a little with your search when we were in Phoenix. It's been a long wait but now the open road awaits you. Travel safe! Maybe we'll see you in Phoenix some time.

Judy, Our serial # is 710005 and serial # 710000 for 2008 is sitting here on the lot with a 62K price tag.
Brad, They ran 2 cables, but didn't put the 12V power in . . . we got them to put this in today. The wires were run from the tv cabinet and come out of the roof on the top shelf of the cabinet by the refrigerator.

Karen,
12V must have just been an oversight. They will probably add it to the prep.
We put the Winegard RoadTrip SD low profile on the roof. It now picks up all three satellites on Dish or DirectTV (ours will need the update). It's never failed to lock on automatically and the picture is perfect both digital and HD. We use the dual tuner HD reciever from Dish so we have separate viewing at each TV.

Congrats folks, enjoy! I definately agree with your point about the dealership being as important as the manufacturer, they can make the difference with their PDI before we even look at the unit. Keep us posted.

Karen & John,
Congradulations on your new 2008 Big Sky. We bought a new 2007 June 4th and went to VT and upstate NY before returning to Va this past Thursday. We just love the 360RLQ. Would you believe it's as long as our 36 X 28 double wide we live in on the lake during the summer months. We love all there is to love about it. The frig is a major plus, and Samuel loves the awning and jacks. Great for retired people. Enjoy. And safe travels. We'll stay on the lake until Sept 1st when we head back to VT to see the family before going West to SD and then to FL for six months Oct - Apr.

We just got our serial number and it's 710128 and suppose to roll off the line on July 24th. Since we live in Washington, it will take about 7 to 10 days to get here, so hope to check it out the first week of August.
