Still driving my 2002 Ford F250 crew cab 7.3. Has 192,000 miles and still pulls our 2011 Big Sky like it was new. Have added many extras over the last 12 years and it has been faithful to me.

We had a 2008 Ram 2500 CTD and decided we wanted to go with a bit bigger 5er. Had a Cougar XLite and the truck squatted a quite a bit and exceeded the GVWR when hooked up. Could of gone with airbags but would still be overweight and would be limited on how big we could go with a bigger 5er.
Ended up selling the Ram and getting the F350 in our signature. Opened up lots of room for a bigger trailer and decided on the Mountaineer. 1st trip this week and loved the way it pulls. Only squatted about 2". Mileage was about 11m/USGal which was similar to our previous combo. Love the Ford but do miss the engine brake on the Cummins.

I pull my 2004 2955rl with a 2000 ford F350 Crew Cab, 4x4 with 185,000 miles on it. I bought the truck in 2002 I also tow a bumper pull 6500 LB, boat. My son just bought a 2014 chevy 4x4 long bed he has a 29' bumper pull trailer, but now he's thinking of trading it in on a 5th wheel. My wife drops a hint once in awhile about how nice it would be to have a new truck. But I'm sorry but I don't think there is anything out there that can out perform my F350 with the 7.3 diesel even the MPG I don't think it can be beat.

I'm still using my 08 F250 6.4 diesel with a lot of up grades. Better fuel filters, 8 quart larger transmission oil pan and 610 flywheel horsepower. With that much power it will pull my camper. I'd like a new truck but it wouldn't have the power the old one has and it's hard to justify 70 grand, oh well.

How big is your stock oil pan? Mine is 16 Quartz. Yeah I'm the same way, I would love a new truck. But Who needs that payment, and I don't think theres anything out there that can pull as good as my 2000 f350 4x4 7.3 long bed. And thats another thing. Long beds are hard to find. I have 185,000 miles on it and I should be able to double that.

Mel B I had a 7.3. If you think nothing will pull as good as your 7.3 you need to drive one of the new trucks. The new trucks may not last as long as a 7.3 they are far too complicated. There is just too much to go wrong but it hard to argue with 440 HP and 925 pound feet of torque. I have over 600 HP and 1100 pound feet of torque.
To answer your question Mine holds 20 some quarts. It has fins on the bottom to help cool too. I'm not sure it was worth the price, I think $380 plus installation but I makes me feel better.
