Lights over the bed inop!

Greeting all,
A bulb burned out in my wife’s side of the bed light. When I replaced it, neither of the two lights in the fixture would come on. AND the light over my side of the bed is inop as well. Pulled both fixtures and no 12v to either one. All circuit breakers and fuses are good.

Any wonderful suggestions? The wiring is direct to each light. They do not share power.

It definitely will not be a breaker as they only control 120 volt AC. It will be a fuse, which probably burned out due to the issue with the bulb failure. Burned out fuses are hard to see, but can be found with a volt meter or even an automotive test light that has a probe and a wire with an alligator clip. There are small holes in the plastic tops of the fuses and you use the meter probe or test light probe in the holes. One side will always have power but the failed fuse will not have voltage on one side as the fuse link will be open. DO NOT USE an automotive test light on the 120 volt AC side.

Power will be from a 12 v fuse. How did you verify the fuses are good? Meter?

The little red blown fuse indicator will only light up if the fuse is blown AND there is a load currently connected to that fuse. The load actually provides a low resistance path to ground for the high resistance LED. Meaning the light switch would be on, the bulb was good, and the wiring was good. If the switch were off the LED will not illuminate.

I had to replace the switches on both of our bedside lamps when they failed. But would not expect both to fail simultaneously.

Your year and model is not listed. If the bed is in a slide, I would suspect an issue with the wiring under the bed. Raise the bed and remove the floor panels and take a look. There may be wires that move with the slide and have become pinched/loose/disconnected ?

Thanks for the replies. This morning I pulled the “low voltage distribution panel” and found a loose (improperly crimped) wire. A new connector solved the problem!
