Fridge noise

Hello all....

Our fridge make this buzzing noise every once and a while (which sounds like the water pump for your fresh water)

we have not used our ice maker yet because the valve is behind the fridge and it’s currently in the off position

We turned the ice off button on so it reads “ ice off” when the fridge doors are open thinking that may stop the noise....

Any other ideas,tips, suggestions??

Thanks!!

Could it be the sound of the compressor starting us?

It is kind of like a low growl

guessing you have a Residential Fridge. which brand/model?
Our Samsung made noises until we finally got our bi-focals up close and figured out the 'Ice Off' button.

Well it was the ice off button....
Seems the button has to say “ice off” or we get the noise.

Kinda makes sense if the ice maker wants water to make ice.

We still have to open the valve behind the fridge so we can actually make ice...then we will have to learn how to winterize the ice maker when the season ends...but plenty of time for that and we are sure this wonderful forum has plenty of info on it!!

Thanks for the replies!!
We are loving are first 5th wheel!

SLC,
While traveling, you probably will want to turn off the ice maker (to say “ice off”).
It uses a large amount of battery power while running on the inverter.
We learned this the hard way.....

interesting. have never turned it off. I do notice that it will bleed of the pressure from the water pump. But have never had an issue with it running down the batteries
