After my marathon issues early on, I ditched the 16 inch wheels/tires and went straight to 17.5 in load range h tires. Same diameter as factory tires, but so much better. Just my personal preference.

I have done 2 cross country trips from California to Maine and California to Florida and places in between. 26,000 miles so far and only carried one spare. I just keep a eye on my tires. I do however carry a set of wheel bearings and a rear seal just in case. LOL

If I’m not mistaken you already have G rated tires. The chance of a blowout are remote. It could happen and a meteorite could fall on you but it isn’t likely. I thing you are concerned about something that you don’t need to worry about and it you do need a spare I wouldn’t be so sure the other tire would be damaged.
It is good to see your camper is fixed finally.

Thanks Lynwood, but I've already had a blowout with my G rated GY G614s. Five weeks ago with a TPMS system in place. The tire was at 87* and 114 psi when the sidewall came out. Still awaiting Goodyear to prorate the tire. BTW, the tires were less than two years old.

The other tire might not be damaged if the tire has a slow leak and gradually deflates leaving the other tire to carry more weight. The reason why most people say the other tire is damaged is if you have a blow-out you put all the weight on the other tire thus putting a big strain on the surviving tire.

BiigDaddy must have left the building. I asked for pics back in February, but never heard back.

Thanks BiigDaddy, I've noticed that I don't get notifications some time too. Glad you're back.
