price on Chevy 3500 4x4 2007.5

I just thought I would post a break daown of the new Chevy 3500
3500 silverado cc, drw, 4x4 duramax & allison
2LT interior with leather.
basically every option except nav & sunroof - didn't wnat them
sticker price 49400.00
vendor discount 4442.00
gm discount 3500.00
farm bureau disc 500.00 still looking into may not get this one
dealer holdback 1000.00 they traded for this truck
& the deal fell thru
... SO I MADE A BETTER DEAL

Final cost to me is 40458.00 plus tax or 39958.00 if farm bureau comes thru either way I TOTALLY satisfied with this truck.

ps so far there has been no major problems assoc. with epa crap on the gms. This is what I found so far anyways. So deals can still be had if you take your time.
chuck
pps Rich you and Steve Riegle inspired me to keep working on the deal. Also everyone else getting new trucks over the last 6 months haven't helped either. -)))

New trucks are a good thing. Your deal on that one is a good one. Homework and never giving up pays off. This forum is no help at all in aiding a guy with new truck fever in resisting temptation...no help at all......

hahahaha - and thanks to you Rich, Ozz.... I'm making up lies to the DW as to where I've been after work! I told her I was having an affair! Better that - than tell her the truth that I was looking at the new 08 Fords

Thanks everyone, but I think I did better than some on this forum;
I went 12 years!
Now to put the accessories on ....
Have you ever noticed they keep making the beds taller or deeper and as I age it's just getting more difficult to reach inside the bed. I passed on the running boards at the dealers. They stopped at the end of the cab. I need them to go to the front of the duals. I've only found 1 company so far and they're 550.00 per set ouch!

Again everyone thanks for the help, now no maintainence just payments.

I carry an aluminum step stool bungee corded to the inside of the bed for that very reason. Just grab the bungee cord and pull the stool out of the bed!
