Gary, You should be getting many responses to this question. Both positive and negative and I am going to be the first negative.

First of all American Campground is part of Resort Parks International (RPI). RPI charges significantly more than 400 bucks to join their organization. Why would they use American Campground to cut the rates. Something just sounds very suspicious to me.
Also with American Campground they offer a free year with Passport America. What would you need Passport America for if you belonged to one of these hi priced camping club that proposes to give you such rates as 8 bucks a night? You wouldn't.
Also if you look around the Internet long enough you will find these Camping Club memberships being sold for 1/4 of what a person originally paid for it. Why would anyone take such a loss if these clubs were as near as good as they are advertised to be.

Me? I'll stick with Good Sam and Passport America.
