Dave,
They are the same as solar except you have to plug them in. I had the solar ones and was not very pleased with how little light they give off. That is why I upgraded for these, and I got 10 of them for less than $30. To buy 10 solar lights of a quality brand you can spend upwards of $60-$90. Just more thoughts to confuse you even more... =)

"dejunking" ? I don't think these are junk - more like "rv artwork"

We have two sets. Marsha prefers the set of lights that are shaped like old fashioned lanterns that we have had since we owned our Coleman pop up. Several years ago, she gave me another set that look like miniature Coleman lanterns. I like those as, since they are clear, they give better light; Marsha is partial to the different colors of the older lights.

VanMan, Didn't mean these were junk. I am just trying not to buy anything new until I get rid of all of my other "junk" and simplify my life. RV artwork is a pretty good description. I like the idea of the solar lights at the steps!

We use the little chinese style hangin lanterns. Use clips to hag them from the awning fringe. Works great for us !!

Well, I was going to look for some awning lights while we were on the road, but I found the cutest little green frogs last night!! They should look good hanging between my boston ferns!

Lisa,
Enjoy your new frogs! Sounds like your place will be the place to be at night, all we need now is the cold beverages. =)

Lisa, do you hang your boston ferns off the awning? Is it strong enough to support the plants? Oh, Glen may be sorry I read this thread if I end up taking my fluffy duffy ferns!

If we camp for an extended period, we put out our yard light with name and use red, white and blue rope light on the awning. We used to put our MOC flag in the top of the porch light, but alas, someone stole it.

Montana Sky -- They're already on ice!! LOL
Judy -- They are my fake ones, they don't weigh too much.
rames14 -- You're place has got to look so good with the lights.
What is wrong with people to steal your flag?!

Campbud, were those a specialty item, or did you get those at a Kmart/Walmart?

We found these at Target.. We opted for the smaller ones rather than the larger ones. I think we paid either $3.99 or $4.99 a piece...I really like them..just the right amount of light. We hang them with a bungie cord off each end of the awning so it they are also easy to take down.

Thanks, Campbud! I'll let Cheryl know. Just what we need - another excuse to go to Wally World...

We have several sets of lights. We have hanging lights like icicle lights, balls, patriotic and some Halloween lights. We also have rope lights in front.(Got small white pickets and strung the lights in between the pickets.) We also have solar lights that work well as long as they get plenty of sunlight.
