6 Pin to 7 Pin in trailer bed?

Suggestions/advice are appreciated.

My used 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 has the 7 Pin (looks unused)trailer connector in the bumper and the prior user installed a 6 pin POLLAK connector in the bed. Where its tapped into the Dodge wiring is all taped up.

Should I remove the six pin (and wiring) and replace with 7 Pin?
Is there a reliable converter for 6 to 7 Pin?

Having a 7 Pin connector in the bed as is normally done is the goal.

Recommendations are requested!

Thanks!

The unused pin is normally for the back up lights. I plan on adding them to my Tana so I use the seven in the bed as well as bumper. One time the bed had trouble so I used the bumper.
If it works and you do not need the back up it is your call.
Good luck and safe towing.
Cheers,
