River Plantation RV, Sevierville TN Thanksgiving
Over the Thanksgiving Holiday, me and my family will be camping at the River Plantation RV park in Sevierville TN. This campground is 6 miles west of Piegeon Forge and about 13 from Gatlinburg. Any one else going to be there? I have heard that this place is nice and I am lookinig foward to it!!

Chad, we drove through that park back in April. It looked like a nice park. However, I'm not sure who is saying it is 6 miles from Pigeon Forge. Well, I guess technically it is in Seveirville but the two towns run together so it is in town. It is almost directly across from the Walmart Supercenter and pretty close to just about anything you want to see or do in the area. That's one of the parks I would recommend in the area. And, they have wi-fi! We were looking for a monthly site but their monthly sites were booked up four years in advance!

I did a little research before choosing this campground. I did not want to get stuck in a campground like Etowah campround in Dahlonega GA
Mapquest shows sevierville to be 6.7 miles from Pigeon Forge and the RiverPlantation RV park looks to be somewhere in between. Either way it should be a short drive wherever I want to go!!

Chad,
I have driven through the park and it is nice. As stated earlier it is in Sevierville which turns into Pigeon Forge when you cross the river. It is centrally located to all the areas amenities. Enjoy your stay.

Chad, the two towns have grown together. Like the sign says Welcome to Seveierville on one side and Leaving Pigeon Forge on the other. Not really but that's how the towns have grown. In any case, it looks like a good park and I hope you enjoy your stay.

Chad,
Like the others have said it is a very nice campground and is convenient to everything in the area. My wife especially likes the Tanger outlet malls which are very close by. The whole area is very nice I'm sure you will enjoy it.

We just left Pigeon Forge today. While there we did manage a ride thru River Plantation and yes it is a nice park. I would not hesitate staying there. The only thing I did not care for was the guy behind the counter. There was a man and woman in the office. Where the woman tried to be helpful the male was an arrogant SOB. If he worked for me he would be collecting unemplyment.

We just left River Plantation this morning. We were there for one week and really enjoyed this campground. Convenient to everything yet quiet and away from lots of the traffic. We would definitely stay in this park again!!

The first RV owners rally we ever attended was held there. It's a nice park, with a great location. We'll also spend Thgiving wk in Pigeon Forge, tho not camping. Our daughter & family rents a cabin in the hills,so we'll just drive this time.Get lots of info from the area,so you don't miss anything.Enjoy....
