Airbed anyone?

As I'm doing the mods to the monty, one thing that keeps nagging me in the back of my pointy li'l head is that...gulp...mattress.

It's a queen, and when the slide is in, it max's to the dresser. Now, in past years I've used a frocked air mattress (queen) in my truck bed while camping...this is a nice one, and boy is it ever comfortable. It has it's own li'l "compressor".

So my question is "why not"? Anyone else used a quality air mattress for the main bed ? Heck, I can inflate it a little to bring in the slide.

Well yes.. the Americana bear bed....same as the sleep number. Queen size fits well. Had it since day one as we donated the OEM mattress to charity.

Well, I learn something new everyday...never heard of them till you posted, Rich. We are going to give the airbed a try. Mine is from the swiss army knife people. I loved it before, but we'll see how it is with two people on it.

I've slept a total of 4 nights on the new matress that came with our trailer and I can see my impression already! The doctor told I needed to loose weight but I dont think I'm that heavy.
All kidding aside we talked about getting a sleep number bed when we had the motor home but didn't have it long enough to upgrade the mattress. I see them advertised quite a bit but never knew anyone that had one. Are they as good as they say?

We have used a $65 air mattress from Cabelas for almost a year. It works fine for us.

We have a Sleep Number bed that we have used for about 18 years in our home. It is the only type of bed that allows me to sleep comfortably. I love it. The queen size has dual controls so each person can make it fit their own needs. Hopefuly we will be putting it in our Montana when we can do it.

Everyone's aches and pains are different ... mine were solved by using a 4" memory foam topper for the OEM mattress. Although many swear by them ... after trying one, I just couldn't justify the $$$$$ buying a Sleep Number Bed.
