How to full time and not kill each other

I applaud those of you who can full time together. Until I saw this tonight, I could see no way we could ever consider being cooped up in an 8' by 40' living space and survive one another. This guy has my answer ... dually truck with giant fuel tank in the bed, a Innsbruck fiver, and a Jay Feather TT all in one tidy package. It even sports a weight distributing hitch for the TT. And youse guys worry about hanging a generator on the rear of your fiver ..... I wonder which gets first pick of sites at an RV park?

Not everyone is cut out for full timing. Some folks just need more private space and that's ok. This is the first real solution to that issue I've seen.

Not a smart thing to do in my opinion.

A Class A pulling a TT would be a better solution. I've seen a few of those.

This post is meant to be humorous in a fashion ... here in the plains states you'll see all kinds of wild setups this time of year headed to Texas for the winter. This just seemed worthy of a photo.

Until we bought the model with the bonus room it would have been difficult to impossible to full time. We have discussed it and believe we could. We spend more than half time on the road. We do enjoy the S&B at times if only for a few days or couple weeks to regroup and plan our next adventure. Mostly we know we cannot do it forever and probably will not when one of us passes. Maybe if we were younger but at 70+ we only plan 13 months in advance in popular destinations,

To be successful at full-timing both parties must be in ABSOLUTE agreement about doing so from the very beginning. To continue to be successful at it you must have "together" time AND personal time separate from the other. Has worked for us for over 8 years and no end in sight.

Could that be a mother-in-law trailer? A couple S&B homes in our neighborhood have a MIL apartment added on. I can say with certainty that mine would have neen banished to something like that if she absolutely had to travel with us - and probably left to stay in another CG - my DWs decision tho, not mine.

Definitely not for me.
2 to 2-1/2 months max at a time. I’d be on my way home now if it wasn’t for having an appointment with Morryde on 11-26 & 11-27 in Elkhart. November 28th heading home 2,100 miles to Corona Ca.. I left my house 8-29 for MOC Rally.
But on a good note. I have got to camp in Quebec. Maine New York & a whole lot of places & seen a lot of amazing things that I would’ve never been able to do without my 5th wheel.
So I’m very thankful for that

Definitely for us. Six years fulltiming, we loved every minute. Came off the road and bought a lake house because grandkids started being born, and we wanted stability for them. Now snowbird 5.5 months in Florida, often wish we were fulltimers again.

I like these kinds of photos. All kinds of things run through my mind. Thats got to be longer than 65 feet; thats got to exceed the trucks CGWR, etc., etc.

Saw one of a station wagon with a 5th wheel hitch kobbled together on the station wagon's dropped down tailgate and a small 5th wheel attached. Nose of the car was pointing skyward.

Post

that's a "classic" type of photo, the bumper pull is not hooked to the fiver.
just looks that way due to how they are parked.
as it is over length. and weight.

like a photo of someone holding out there hand and some little person is standing on it.

That’s funny! We full-time in a 5er with two bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. We each have a separate space to get away. Plus the outside.

Sure looks to me as though they are one unit, but can’t say positively.Overweight for power unit, I doubt that. Oversized, depends on state regulations. I know one thing for sure, his doghouse is the smaller of the two!! Mine would be even smaller!

Looks like I will have to leave another group.

Somebody tries to post something lighthearted, and gets a response like this.

I retired in 06' as well, but I can still laugh. And, seeing how uptight you seem to be, makes me laugh.

Gave me a laugh thanks,As I live in the big RV state of Oregon our local Walmart gives us many double looks sometimes!
This is a Great forum for an RV owner,Specifically Montana.
I Get much needed information on this site sometimes too technical and sometimes within my understanding with good results.
True some responses are empty remarks but I overlook it as everyone’s different and entitled to their opinion.
I’d like to say it’s much appreciated and thank you.

Zoom In... The Jack on the TT is down and on wood block, chains hanging very low, perspective is everything and drinking always helps, it made me laugh at first sight.
