Optional washer dryer drain ?
Hi everyone;
I was installing a PVC tube all the way back under the belly of my 2010 3400 RL to hold my fishing rods when I noticed a plastic hose On the left rear of my fifth wheel with a screw on cap (screw cap is removed ) I could not find a explanation for this and assume it is a drain for the water System that I was not informed of at the dealership .
I am guessing it must have something to do with the "optional washer dryer system winterization "
A little more info from Montana 3400 RL owners with the same system will be welcome
I will be de- winterizing in a few week and don,t want to miss anything
We will take our first trip in may ( Branson Mo) in our new toy
Thank you

I don't have a 3400RL but if it is anything like the 3150RL there is a tube back there with a cap for the fresh water tank drain. If the cap is removed now it might be drained for the winter.

That's where my fresh water tank drain is located, too. It should have a cap to keep "critters" out and the water in.
You can verify this by pouring some water into the tank inlet and seeing if water comes out. Allow a little time for the water to go into the tank, then make its way to the drain. If nothing comes out, then someone else is gonna have to come up with an idea.
Please let us know what you find.

Hi everyone :
I must have been very tired or have some brain fade when I posted my question!!! I realized in the middle of the night that the washer dryer hook up was at the other end of the fiver.
And for some reason forgot about the fresh water drain , (I had no idea that the water tank was located that far back )
Like they say ," Never to old to learn something " and this forum is a great place to be informed , thanks to all of you experienced Montana owners
I hope to be of help and return the favor someday if some of you have tech questions about Mercedes Benz automobiles
From the past 50 years .
Thank you
John P
