If you've never been, you're in for a treat. Camping in the desert with 150,000 of your closest friends is cool! We prefer the LaPosa South camping area south of town. They have a dump station there, as well as abundant space to park your rig. I would advise against camping in any of the lots in town, as they are dusty, noisy, and crowded.
There is a charge for camping at LaPosa, but there are other areas north of town that are free.
Normal year 'round population of Quartzsite is around 1500 or so, so be prepared for some traffic jams. Everyone is pretty laid back and have the same traffic problems, so just relax and go with the flow. RVers are great people!
