Hey Chief! You're not the lone ranger. This is a common, if not automatic problem. It's not exclusive to Montana either, as it seems to be standard for the industry.

Two of mine have already broke. The fix I used given advice from the MOC is a standard 3" outdoor door hinge. The hinge gets installed in place of the cracked plastic and serves as the new pivot point.
