Pullrite Super slider lubricant
Hi Folks,
We are just about to go X country with our 2955. I have a Pullrite Super Slider hitch. We know that the hitch way -tubes require regular lubrication. We have tried several products. Some were successful but all were messy [we used aerosol]. Anyway, does any Pullrite owners out there have some lubricant product recommendations?
thanks

PullRite recommends Slip Plate and that is all I use.

I use slip right by Super Glide and have for the last 2 1/2 years. It is in a spray can and is very easy to use and not messy.

I just spent the last hour and a half taking my Super Glide apart per Pullrite's instructions. Cleaned off all of the old white lithium grease and recoated every thing with Slip Plate, again per Pullrite's instructions. I haven't put it to work yet but I know I won't miss the mess!

I've used white lithium grease on my Superglide for the past 5 1/2 years now. It does take some work to remove the old grease and apply the new, but I feel the coverage and protection is worth the time and small mess.

Dave, If you get the oppurtunity try Slip Plate and you will never go back to that messy grease. When I first heard about Slip Plate I was skeptical but after a visit to the PullRite plant I got rid of the grease.
I have also been using Slip Plate on the Monty's slide mechanism as well.

Slip Plate here.....just ensure that the waytubes are clean and degreased before applying if you switch to Slip Plate. I used brake cleaner solvent from the auto parts store to degrease the waytubes before using the Slip Plate. As per Glenn, I won't go back to the grease.

I spray mine at the start of each trip and sometimes during the trip. Don't take them apart just spray. Seems to work just fine.

I recently did as Farmhawk and removed all the white lithium grease and applied slip plate. The procedure is, I believe, in the manual. Or email Pullrite and they'll send you the instructions.
