Virginia/West Virginia

My wife and I are looking for suggestions on campgrounds in Virginia or West Virginia. We have a 40 ft Montana. We also like to do a lot of hiking. Thank You for your help.

Lake Momaw in Bath Co Va camp 1 some sites have electricity. It’s a beautiful lake with drinkable quality water, tested by UVA. There is plenty of walking trails around the lake one is around part of the lake to a picnic area.
There are no houses or private land on the 160 feet deep lake. Bath and Highland Co. are the prettiest counties in Va. they are good for back country drives. Neighboring Highland has the highest mean elevation of any country East of the Mississippi.
If you are interested I will send more information.

The Blue Ridge Parkway app has info on camping, hiking, etc. Crosses the Appalachian trail many times. Same for Skyline drive in the Shenandoah NP.
https://www.nps.gov/shen/planyourvisit/index.htm
BE AWARE OF HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS along Skyline drive and Blue ridge Parkway. There are a couple of tunnels. The entrances on Skyline drive at the gates has overhead to prevent too tall vehicles. Hard to see in the picture but I think it was 12' 8" ??? Double check online.
We drove it without the RV. Beautiful drive.

You don’t get any prettier drive anywhere than the Blueridge Parkway. We live about 10 miles from the Parkway and I’m on it frequently on my motorcycle.

In West Virginia, the Camp Creek State Park is very nice. Near Princeton, WV not far off I-77. They even have a few full hookup sites with water and sewer!
