Truckmiles.com shows 3.86.7 for diesel in Missouri, about 25 cents more than Illinois. We're in Illinois leaving for Branson on Friday. Can anyone confirm the Missouri prices for us? We'll be staying at ABC for a week if anyone would like to stop by and say hi.

Wow! As I was returning last evening from are 47th anniversary dinner, I was traveling on Hwy 105 in Montgomery, TX. I saw this sign stating Diesel $3.799! My neck swiveled and the F350 Crew Cab, King Ranch, Long bed swiveled right with it when it was safe to do so. Filled the TV to the cut-off point.
I was not going to go inside and argue that the price was $3.799 a gallon. Just smile and say thank you lord.
Of course Lord, I do remember when it was less than a dollar a gallon.

We are going to have to fill up in Kemah TX next week, still finding fuel for less than 4.00 but I really hate to pay it. My current tank I filled at 3.06 2 months ago. Haven't moved much in that time. Wish I had a 5000 gal storge tank for that price fuel. And to think I was griping about 3.06 at the time.

Its $4.15 here in our part of Md. We just got a new 08 Chevy Dually and haven't been able to get the 1500 miles on it for the 1st oil change. This oil/gas/ diesel price has got to stop!

Here's my Illinois update. When I left Winthrop Harbor to do my photography thing I put $25 of reg. in my wife's car at 327.9 per. As I headed south, about 15 miles total I found it for 339.9 but on the way did see diesel for 399.9 at my favorite Marathon. On the way back via a different route I found another station also for 399.9. Both of those stations had been 409.9-425.9 just a few days ago.
Now for the really good news. I found a Marathon selling regular for 322.9 and filled up. I hope this is an indication of prices dropping and not just selling out old diesel. I guess I should be thankful that this elevator ride does not have Musak.

Not that long ago, maybe five years ago, I'd take one of our vehicles and a twenty dollar bill, fill it up, and use the change for lottery tickets. Then I'd go get the other vehicle and do the same thing. Now, twenty dollars won't get me a quarter of a tank in this truck.
Made a walmart run to Cottonwood yesterday. The two stations I saw have diesel at 4.109 and 4.299. Those are the stations usually the highest price in this area. I saw another I couldn't quite read but the first number was "3". Probably 3.999 less the 8 cents per gallon rebate at that station. I had nearly a full tank from last Thursday's filling at 3.779 so I didn't buy any fuel yesterday.

Not really sure Don, but if your figure is correct that makes it just about 5 bucks.

Here in Michigan locally it's $4.20 a gallon. It for sure will alter our plans but we're gonna try to stay longer in one place and get on those bicycles we have more often. Would be great to know what to expect for summer. Being Dick is laid off as a result of the American Axel strike, filling that tank is hurting more and more.

I topped off my Dodge today for 399.9. Maybe I should load up all of my extra containers at that price LOL.

25 miles N/W of South Padre Island, I just paid $3.40 a gallon for ULSD, Stripes station, (like the Quick Trip's in K.C. Mo.), the pump quit at $75.00.
I had to re-insert my C.C. to add the other $16.00 or so.
I bet 90% of the miles we put on the truck this past 6 month's, was just to find the stupid fuel the new Diesel engines require. Sue and I ride our bikes most everywhere here on the Island, I still only have around 6500 miles on our truck, bought around August of '07.
Makes me sick every time I fill it up...................Bummer.

Ozz,
I feel so sorry for you. ($3.40 a gallon, geez!)
Next you'll be loading 5 gallon cans on Sue's bicycle as saddle bags and sending her out scouting.
I know, I know! Good Idea, huh?

I just paid 124.9 litre an hour ago(that is 5.00+/gallon) . To think that Canada is an exporting country and we still have to pay the world price. In the news last evening they said the price went up because the US cut their interest rate by 0.75%. Last fall it was because of possible storms in the golf. It seems any excuse in good enough.
We are retiring this coming December and we will be travelling we will cut the things we do not really need.
