Receiver hitch

We had a custom built receiver hitch installed on our 2000 3555RL two winters ago- It carries our 2 bikes effortlessly but I would not put anything else back there- Obviously, frame warranty is long gone- In my opinion, all rv frames are too light for the extensive use we routinely subject them to- It appears to me that the rv industry has not made much, if any, progress to use stronger frames- If only the rv industry was held to standards similar(sp?) as the auto, truck and bus manufacturers- JHMO- Don

Unfortunately if they made the frames much "stronger" they would be too heavy for most (any?) pickups to tow with. Seems like with everything on these trailers it's a trade off between cost, weight and quality.
I won't be putting anything other than the two bikes on mine either...
